Nitya Babu’s Everyday Journey

Nitya Babu’s Everyday Journey

Every day, Nitya Babu rushes off,
Hanging from the Bat-bag bus;
Reaching the Maidan, he settles down on the grass,
Chatting the hours away—

An hour or so he does office work, just for form’s sake,
And by year’s end,
The ducks have eaten up his promotion!
