I found you after long and tireless seeking —
After days and nights of endless search,
I finally found you.
From the stories of history,
The maps of distant geography,
The characters of whispered literature,
And among the kindest of souls,
I lifted you out
And made you mine.
I have given you love —
And will keep giving,
Holding it close with gentle care,
Gripping it tight within my heart,
To see if you can ever escape.
How could you deny me
The chance to serve you?
